Arboriculture
Arboriculture is the cultivation of trees and shrubs. Tree service requires more than removing trees and taking care of unsightly branches. The health of our community's trees depends on the expert knowledge of arborists. We have a strong aptitude for identification of diseases and disorders and how pruning contributes to the health or detriment of a tree. Owners Chad Taecker and Tanner Aiken were both raised in South Dakota and developed a love for our natural landscape at young ages. Both are SDSU graduates and have gained much of their arboriculture education under the guidance of SDSU professor Dr. John Ball.
Tanner holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Arcitecture and brings extensive knowledge of horticulture to the business. He is an ISA Certified Arborist.
Chad earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters in Geography and is currently persuing a Doctorate in Wildlife & Fisheries. His research focuses on the mountain pine beettle epidemic in the Black Hills. He began caring for trees in 2009 as the arborist for South Dakota State University and is also an ISA Certified Arborist.
